L’APLMO représente les professionnels des laboratoires de l’Ontario au sein de divers comités qui comprennent : (CORHPA) Coalition of Ontario Regulated Health Professions’ Associations; Allied Health Professional Development Fund et IQMH Stakeholders Forum pour n’en nommer que quelques-uns.

 

L’APLMO surveille et examine tous les changements législatifs qui auront un effet sur la profession de laboratoire et elle répond en faisant sorte que les intérêts primordiaux de ses membres sont représentés. Ceci comprend les communications avec le Ministère de la Santé et des Soins de longue durée de l’Ontario et autres ministères gouvernementaux; avec l’Ordre des technologistes de laboratoire médical de l'Ontario (OTLMO) et avec des éducateurs et des employeurs.

 

L’APLMO visite les laboratoires dans l’ensemble de la province pour comprendre les défis dont les professionnels des laboratoires vivent.

 

L’APLMO continue à travailler avec les institutions d'éducation et les programmes de laboratoires pour relever le niveau de la profession.

 

L’APLMO fait de la promotion et participe à la Semaine nationale du laboratoire médical dans l’ensemble de la province.

 

Les membres du Conseil d'administration, lequel représente l’adhésion des membres de toute la province, se rencontrent chaque trimestre pour discuter de questions et faire des recommandations qui pourraient influencer la profession.
