For 60 years, we have been the voice of Medical Laboratory Professionals in Ontario

On March 21st, 1963, a group of 17 Medical Laboratory Technologists legally registered a not-for-profit association named the Ontario Society of Medical Technologists. They did this with the intent of ensuring that MLTs had a voice in the province of Ontario.

Over the past 60 years our small association has grown from 17 members to over 4,000 and includes MLTs, MLA/Ts and other professionals working in our labs. It has been a long journey with many twists and turns. The very first Annual General Meeting was held in 1963. We held our 60th Annual General Meeting on June 18th, 2022.
