Introduction to Quality Management
Course Description
• This is the first course in our Quality Management Systems Certificate program. The entire program will consist of 4 courses at the end of which participants will receive a Quality Management Systems Certificate.
• The courses are designed for MLTs and MLA/Ts who want to enhance their knowledge of Quality Managements Systems (QMS), who have an interest in quality

improvement in the lab, or who would like to prepare themselves for a quality role in the laboratory. The courses provide information about the QMS, accreditation requirements, and provide a myriad of resources and templates to help build and maintain a QMS.
• The first course, Introduction to Quality Management provides an overview of quality and the QMS, breaking down the complexity of each of the 12 Quality System Essentials (QSE). Learn about quality programs and laboratory accreditation, with tips for preparing for an accreditation assessment.
• This is an introductory to intermediate level course.
Course Structure
The course is divided into 5 separate modules; these should be completed in sequential order. At the end of each module, there are 10 multiple choice questions to evaluate the learner’s comprehension. The learner will be given the correct answer. Each module starts with identifying specific learning objectives /outcomes
