MLPAO Update: Allied Health Professional Development Fund

Dear Members,
As a member of CORPHA, the Coalition of Ontario Regulated Health Professional Associations, the MLPAO was advised that as of March 2, 2020 the Ontario Government will no longer be accepting applications to the Allied Health Professional Development Fund.
They are inviting anyone with questions to contact the Allied Health Programs, Capacity and Health Workforce Planning Branch at alliedhealthprograms@ontario.ca.
As your association we firmly believe in the importance of continuing education and development to strengthen your practice as a medical laboratory professional. We are very disappointed in this direction, and are currently lobbying and will continue to lobby the government to address this situation.
In our continued commitment to providing high-quality continuing education, we are re-introducing our annual conference at a discounted rate. We hope to see you at our Explore 2020 event in Ottawa June 19-20 to learn, share, and connect.
