The MLPAO is proud to launch the second course in our Quality Management Certificate online course series The QSEs - A Deeper Dive. The entire program will consist of 4 courses at the end of which participants will receive a Quality Management Systems Certificate.
 
Course Description
The courses are designed for MLTs and MLA/Ts who want to enhance their knowledge of Quality Managements Systems (QMS), who have an interest in quality improvement in the lab, or who would like to prepare themselves for a quality role in the laboratory.  The courses provide information about the QMS, accreditation requirements, and provide a myriad of resources and templates to help build and maintain a QMS.
 
The second course, The QSEs - A Deeper Dive takes an in-depth look at specific quality systems essentials (QSEs) including training and competency; documents and records; safety; process control; and point of care testing.  Dive into each of these QSEs to learn about the important components required for a robust and successful quality management system.  This module also includes several example templates that can be used by labs for their quality management program
 
This is an introductory to intermediate level course.
 
The course is divided into 7 modules:
Module 1                 Training and Competency Assessment
Module 2                 Documents and Records
Module 3                 Laboratory Safety – Safety Hazards
Module 4                 Laboratory Safety - Safety Program
Module 5                 Process Control – Part 1
Module 6                 Process Control – Part 2
Module 7                 Point of Care Testing 
 
At the end of each module, there are 10 multiple choice questions to evaluate the learner’s comprehension. The learner will be given the correct answer. The course should take 4 hours to complete.
