In September 2022, my 97-year-old grandfather suffered a stroke that doctors told us he would likely not recover from due to his age. My grandfather has always been strong, determined, and courageous. Miraculously, in less than 2 months, he was back home and steadfast in recovery. My grandfather not only made it home to us, but also to our gigantic family back in India where he was recently able to celebrate the wedding of his first grandchild – the first of many! We are so grateful to have more time with him. During his recovery, my grandfather had numerous lab tests to monitor his condition – he would not be alive today if not for those lab results. Thank you to all the lab professionals who contributed to saving my grandfather’s life.
