MLA/T Certification Exam
Eligibility for the MLPAO MLA/T Exam
The applicant must be currently enrolled in an MLPAO approved school with a completion date prior to the scheduled examination date, or
The applicant must have graduated from an MLPAO approved school within the last five (5) years, or
The applicant must have graduated from a formal MLA/T program in Canada (outside of Ontario) to apply under Out of Province - Special Consideration (NEW), or
Applicants who do not meet one of the above criteria must apply under Special Consideration.

Online Exam Registration

Exam registration is completely online, and no application form is required. If you wish to pay by cheque or money order, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Exam Transfers, Withdrawals & Special Accommodations
Request to Transfer
For exam candidates who applied for the current exam but wish to transfer to the next available exam date. Applicants may pay to transfer a maximum of two consecutive exams before they must reapply in full.
Request to Withdraw
Those wishing to withdraw from the exam must email email@example.com 30 days prior to the exam date in order to receive a refund of the exam fee only. The application fee is non-refundable. A $50.00 + HST administrative fee will apply. Refunds will be issued after the exam date.
Special Accommodations – Disabilities or Religious Considerations
Candidates with special accommodation requirements for the exam day must email firstname.lastname@example.org 30 days prior to the exam date and provide verification/assessment from authorized institution/person if applicable.
